Study the way that suits you - that works particularly well at Magdeburg-Stendal University of Applied Sciences. The university offers five faculties and over 50 degree programs for study and research. Among them: unique study programs such as sign language interpreting, water management and human-technology interaction, but also classics such as social work, mechanical engineering and business administration. Our broad range of subjects attracts about 5,500 students from Germany and abroad to the two university locations each year.
We see ourselves as a lively and constantly evolving institution that aligns research and teaching with society and business in high quality. We focus on practical relevance in order to prepare you for the professional world already during your studies. Laboratories with state-of-the-art equipment, the latest studio technology and varied projects enable you to study in all of our subject areas, the theory of which you can test directly in practice.
As a university, we also have a wide network of cooperation partners in business and social institutions. These close relationships with national and international partners enable you to study in an interdisciplinary way and to put your theory into practice, for example in an internship abroad. If you want to gain international study experience, our partnership with more than one hundred universities worldwide will also help you.
We place great value on intensive support for our students, small study groups and personal interaction on a day-to-day basis. Here, fellow students and lecturers know each other - for us, a very good supervision ratio also means short distances and direct contacts. As a student, you are actively involved in shaping your university and your course of study from the very beginning and have plenty of room to try things out. Our committed student body, with its social, intercultural, political and ecological activities, not only enriches the university with its activities. They also enjoy and shape the quality of life and the open-minded, colorful and dynamic cityscape at our two campuses in Magdeburg and Stendal.
